At the 60" RCP site at Fritz Drive and Freeport Parkway, 2 dump tracks were unloading native material from the excavation of the box culvert trench at. Southwestern and Freeport Parkway. At this time about 14 or 15 truck loads had been dumped on top of the 60" RCP alignment. No other equipment was on-site. The last joint on each oft. he 60" RCP lines was exposed. The headwall has not been constructed at this time. At the 8'x 5' box culvert site, approximately one-third of the box culvert sections have been installed starting at the down stream end. Most of the sections that have been installed have also been backiilled with native material and compacted. The large backhoe was excavating the trench and placing the box culvert sections into the french. The excavated material was being stockpiled next to the trench where the front- end loader was loading this material into the 2 dump trucks. The front-end loader was also dumping the rock embedment into the trench before each cuIvert section was placed in the trench. The dozer was spreading native material over the placed box culvert sections and a sheep's foot roller was compacting the native material. The small backhoe with a roller attached to the end of it was being used to compact the native material between the box culvert and the trench wall. Two crew members were in thc trench spreading the rock embedment with shovels and sealing the joints. All joints on the exposed sections appeared to be sealed. Two sections of the box culvert remained exposed on the down stream end where it will connect to a headwall. Surveyor's equipment was set up on site.
