As you know, we've been informed that discussions between the Contractor {Fast-Trak Construction) and
the City's Inspector have resulted in iden#ifying a cast savings attemative in constructing the small parking
Jet addition Specifically, we understand that the lime stabilized subgrade may be replaced with
compacted subgrade provided that the reinforced concrete pavement thickness is increased by 1-inch,
We understand that our July 14`h letter, proposing the compressive strength of the reinforced concrete be
increased from 3,600 to 4,000 PS1, in-lieu of increasing the pavement thickness, is not acceptable.
Therefore, and per our telephone conversation, the revised pavement section will consist of 7-inch
reinforced concrete pavement over a compacted subgrade.
