It IS my understanding that the concrete paving placed on Monday p. ugust 7 2006 may have been
unprotected from Inclement weather prior to being properly cured The area of concern is the
pavement for the eastbound Janes from approximately station 20+50 to station 25+50
The concern is that the pavement strength and/or the pavement surface may be compnmlsed due
to 0 penod of rainfall while thi.'> section of paving was being r>laced or cunng. While the construction
malenal test reports may show salisfoctory strength these samples were covered from the Inclement
weather
Please provide the City of Coppell with your schedule and means/methods of confirming that the
paving placed in the above referenced area meets the standards of the contract documents with
regard to material quality and workmanship. prior to acceptance and payment for this por1fon of the
project
