The Nature 0' Efflorescence
Another cause of color variations in walls may be the natural phenomenon called efflorescence Efflorescence, a deposit of white salts
consisting of mosHy calcium carbonate, may appear as a white powder on the wall surface and In no way affects the structural
integrity This phenomenon occurs in all concrete and although it cannot be completely prevented from occurring, efflorescence
generally will weather off and disappear over time or can be removed with cleaners at the job site
