Re: West Sandy Lake Road -Request for Change Order
We have received and reviewed the requests for change orders regarding several areas for
the above referenced proJect. and have the following comments.
~ The request for $897 60 for the concrete steps and lead walk on Branchwood
appears to be consistent with the anginal bid prices and consistent with the work
~ormed
~The submitted cost of $1 ;-00 00 to remove the excess concrete from the power
poles has been acknowledged However, due to ongoing communication with TXU
regarding this Issue, this work cannot be authorized at this time It IS anticipated that
a decision will be made regarding this issue as soon as possible
0The request totalIng $1,835.00 referenr.ing an existing concrete apron does not
Indicate a location Assuming the request IS for the inlet that was constructed on the
southwest comer of Royal Lane and Sandy Lake Road, It IS our opinion that the Inlet
was not constQ!cted according to the plans Theretore, the apron should be
reconstructed at the Contractor's sole expense Including any remobillzatloll If
requested, conSideration may be given to not replacing all of the apron
The City has requested a cost for the addItional retaini?t walls needed adjacent to the trails
and sidewalks It i"s anticipdted that this cost would e less than the price bid for the
retaining walls Originally planned for the project. If at all pOSSible, this cost should be
Included in one change order to be Included with the sidewalk steps Please let me know if
