In May of 2000, the cIty selected 12 engmeenng firms to send a Request for Quahficat]ons (RFQ) for the
desIgn of three street projects and vanous dramage projects Followmg a review of the RFQs, SIX firms
were requested to meet wIth the City Teague Nail and Perkms (TNP) was workmg on a City project at the
tune and was verbally requested to meet WIth the city Letters were sent to the five other firms The CIty
met with TNP on July 17, 2000 and entered mto negot]atlOns for the desIgn of W Sandy Lake A
Consultmg Engllleers Contract with TNP was approved by the City CouncIl on December 12, 2000 and
was amended m October 2004
The design of the project IS underway, and we want to determllle If we can seek reimbursement for
servIces by TNP The desIgn will have to be modIfied m order to meet federal desIgn standards The
fa 110\\ IIlg IIlfOrmatlon on the selection process for TNP IS enclosed Please review thIS mformatlon wIth
regards to the federal engmeenng selectIOn procedures and make a determlllatlon It IS our understandmg

The mltla] payment of $9000 as shown 111 'Attachment C' of the LPAFA, was sent to TxDOT on
September 22, 2006 We are waltmg on the federal authonzatlon to proceed, and understand that any
costs IIlcurred pnor to the date of the FP AA are not elIgible for reImbursement.
