Sandy Lake Road Water Line ( Change Order No- 1, Wagon Wheel Ranch Elevated Tank)
Dear Mr. Swinnea:
Your subcontractor, Mike Albert, Inc., requested verification of the location of a newly constructed sanit~-y
sewer which cross the Sandy Lake Road Water Line between Stations 89+50.25 and 89+78.02. While setting
centerline control and offset hubs yesterday, we tied the location of the manholes and low lines of the new
sanitary sewer in the vicinity of the project. From our field surveys, it appears the new sewer line cross our
project at Station 89+65.32 and clears the top of the proposed water line by approximately 0.66 feet.
Although it is close, It appears there is no actual conflict between the two utilities. However, we offer no
objections to implementing a slight lowering of the water line grade in this vicinity, if it can be accomplished
without th~ use of special fittings or adapters. In addition, we hereby direct you to install concrete
encasemerit around the water line for a distance of 10 feet either side of the crossing of the sanitary sewer.
The attached exhibit shows the field information plotted on the construction plans and the location of the
expected concrete encasement. The concrete encasement shall be paid for at the contract unit prices
previously established for this work.
