Dallas, Texas 75244 RE' Soil Density Compaction Tests -Extension of Existing Parking Area Site Development -Lot 2, Blk. "A", Burch Addition City of Coppell, County of Dallas, State of Texas Dear Mr. Hollingsworth: On March 13 , 1998, we completed soil density compaction tests for the subgrade supporting the new reinforced concrete pavement extension. Soil samples were tak®n from a depth of alx (t3) to eight (8) inches below the axfsting subgrade surface. Sample "13-1" was taken firom a depth of fourteen (14) inches below the surface into the ffrat compacted "select fill" layer. The subsequent test results are outlined as follows. SITE LOCATION DRY DENSITY MQISTURE °jo CQMPACTION & B~ ORING) p(~ °!o TO (JPTIMUM Sample - B1 106.0 16.0% 87.3% 1.7% Sample - 62 114.6 12.0°l0 97,1% 1.6°t° Sample - B3 111.3 13.6% 97.6% 1.7% The soil samples were taken by the "Harris Tube Method" and weighed. All samples were dried to determine the moisture content. The soil's moisture content levels were than plotted onto the Texas Soil Curve Chart to find the relative compaction at Standard Proctor density in accordance with A. S. T. M. D-698. D-698) as specified on the paving plans for the reinforced concrete pavement extension for the site. ThanSc you for allowing us to be of service.
