DAILY ACTIVITY REPORT
A Soiltech Engineering and Testing, Inc. representative was present at the
above referenced project to perform in place density tests on the house lots
that require imported select fill soil to complete. Upon arrival the Soiltech
Engineering representative observed that the soil being placed was not the
same as the sampled select fill material. A check of the delivery tickets
indicated the soil being delivered was common fill. There is a notable
difference in the color and clay content between the proposed select fill and the
imported common fill. It also was noted the lot surfaces had not been reworked
prior to select fill placement as directed. These factors along with the
excavation contractor refusing to expose the surgrade for testing precluded the
Soiltech Engineering representative from performing in-place density tests.
