Pro Air-VR
VINSOL RESIN AIR ENTRAINING
ADMIXTURE FOR CONCRETE
DESCRIPTION:
ProAir—VR is specially formulated for use as an air
entraining admixture for concrete_ ProAir—VR is
manufactured under strict quality ern standards to
insure uniform performance at the job sire_
ADVANTAGES:
Prntir-.VR introduces millions of lmiformly sized
and spaced air voids throughout the concrete m ixuire.
Concrete containing these tiny, air bubbles has been
ptoveii'far more resistant to freeing and thawing
than plain concrete_ ProAir-VR in
hardened concrete reams permeability
and enhances the resistance to surface deterioration
caused by de-icing chemicals_ Concrete containing
ProAir—VR requires less wailer, therefore, bleeding
is reduced ProAir—VR aids in finishing and
produces a more water tight aincrete with a lower
water- cprnrnt ratio. The air bubbles act as `Ball-
Bearings' to greatly improve the plasticity and
workability of the concrete, making it easier to flow
into forms or be pumped into place. Concrete mixes
designed using ProAir VR result in a ruction of
segregation and honeycombing with smoother and
mate a --en finished surer.
DOSAGE:
There is no sanidard addition rate for ProAir -VR.
The amount to be used will vary with local materials
and intended concrete pe iformanc a requirements,
usually in the range of 4% to 6%_ Typical
ProAir-VR addition raters range from .5 to 2 otmces
per 100 ponnris (33 to 130 m1 per 100kg) of cement
LyTTIMuhh MATERIALS CO

iXtechnologies
SPECIFICATIONS:
Conforms to ASTM C260
PASHTO M 154
CRD C 13

TECHNICAL NOTE:
ProAir does not contain calcium chloride or any
chloride based components_ It will not promote or
contribute to corrosion of reinforcing steel in
concrete.
USES:
ProAir—VR may be used wherever air entrainment is
required by concrete specifications. It is particularly
useful in
All commercial and residential concrete
Mass concrete
High tit, low slump paving mixes
Mixes with high carbon content fly ash
Concrete using high-alkali cement
All concrete to be exposed to firing
and thawing conditions
Concrete to be mixed for an extended
period of time
COMPATIBILITY:
ProAir-VR is fully effective and compatible in
concrete containing all types of Portland cement,
class C and F fly ash, micaosilica, calcium chloride,
fibers and approved water reducing, accelerating and
retarding admixtures_ inre_C_ ProAir -VR can be used in all
white, colored, and architectural concrete.

PLASTIM X 100R
SET RETARDING
WATER REDUCING
ADMIXTURE FOR CONCRETE
DESCRIPTION:
Plastimix 100R is a sct retarding, water- reducing
admixture for concrete. It is designed to facilitate the
placing and finishing of concrete while providing
control of set time. Plastimix 100R improves cement
performance resulting in improved ultimate strengths
and related concrete properties. It is especially
beneficial (toeing hot weather concreting operations
when control of setting time and maintenance of a
placeable consistency are essential
ADVANTAGES:
Improves concrete quality by
decreasing water-cement ratio for a given degree
of workability
Increases both compressive
and fleim al strengths
Increases density and rebnive durability
Reduces cracking and chrinh gr
Reduces segregation
Plwides superior fini hahetity on all flatwork,
slip formed and pre -last surfaces
Improves pumpability of conezete
Maintains slump life during extended
mixing times
Provides uniform control of setting
time based on dosage rate
Aids to reduce peak heat of hydration, reducing
thermal cracking.
IXtechnologies
DOSAGE RATE:
Plastimix 100R is recommended for use at a dosage
rat of 2 to 4 fluid winces per 100 pounds (130 to 326

TECHNICAL NOTE:
Plastimix 100R does not contain any purposely
added calcium cktlw ide or other chloride based
compnnrntc It will not promote or contribute to
corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete.
COMPATIBILITY:
Plastimix 100R is compatible with all types of
Portland cement, class C ands F fly ash, slag,
microsi ica, calcium chloride, fibers and approved
water reducing and super plasticizing admixtures.
Plastimix 100R can be used in all white, colored, and
arehire tural mna ter_ For best results, the air
entraiumeut should be added separately into the
concrete mix
Note: As the dosage rate of Plarl imix 100R
increases, concrete set times are increased.
