Rick,
Thank you for coming out to my office this morning to take a look at our
brick wall situation. As you know while trenching to prepare for
installation of this wall a mystery water line was hit that was not on any
plans. I understand you met with my builder this morning and you would
like us to proceed with the brick wall which we are prepared to do.
Once concern I have is that you had mentioned that the water line will
probably be moved at some point in the future. I want to make sure that
when and if that happens, if our wall is damaged in the process due to the
tight quarters in that area, the city will take care of whatever damage
might occur to that wall.
I met with Greg Jones last week and we discussed possibly using a screening
type hedge in lieu of the wall. I know plants would be easier to replace
if need be than brick and mortar. We are extremely anxious to complete
this project as I know the city is as well. Please let me know your
thoughts on this. Thanks.
