Utility Relocation Status
Dear Mr. Carr:
This letter is a follow-up to the city's March 7, 2006 utility meeting regarding the W. Bethel
Road project. The project will be constructed in conjunction with the City of Grapevine's Bass
Pro Road and is scheduled to start advertising on August 4, 2006. Bids will be opened on
August 24, 2006 and construction is anticipated to start in early October.
Right-of-way acquisition for the roadway portion of the project (west city limits to Freeport
Parkway) is complete. A multiple box culvert under Bethel Road (east of Loch Lane) and a
channel (Freeport Parkway to north of Bethel Road) will be constructed as part of this project.
No additional right-of-way was acquired for the construction of the multiple box culvert. All
conflicting utilities need to be relocated and/or adjusted for both the roadway and channel
portions of the project prior to the anticipated construction start time.
Utilities are required to submit a Right-of-Way Use permit prior to commencing the relocations
and a Completion Verification Notice upon completion of the relocations. We plan on having an
on-site utility meeting in late July or early August to go over the status of the relocations.
Notifications will be sent to the utilities once the date and time have been determined.
