RE: Runoff from St. Ann's Catholic Church
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Swails:
This letter is in response to your inquiry about the construction activity taking place across the
alley from your property. More specifically this is in reference to the additional paving and
drainage work taking place on the St. Ann's property.
The City has worked with the design engineer for St. Ann's parking expansion project on
drainage concerns related to runoff into the alley adjacent to your property. The engineer has
supplied us with a plan and calculations that indicate no additional discharge of storm water
above and beyond what currently flows into the alley.
Included with this letter, for your information and record, is the plan sheet copy provided by
Pacheco Koch. While we have worked with them to reduce the chance of high water runoff,
there is no absolute guarantee that a high water event will not occur in the future. Due to the
City of Coppell's participation in the National Flood Insurance Program, we encourage you to
consider the purchase of flood insurance for your own protection.
Sincerely,
Keith Marvin, P.E.
Assistant City Engineer
