Dear Mr. Fleming:
Regarding the subgrade for Phillips Drive in subject project
we offer the following comments.
1.

Apparently the subgrade near two manholes adjacent
to the paving has settled.
We have'been told that the paving contractor is doing
certain mud-jacking operations to stabilize or raise
the subgrade. This could be a way to stabilize the
base.
3. We make note that mud-jacking may not be the ~olu-
tion to the problem and other measures may be re-
quired at a later date.
4. Since we have provided no resident inspection or
testing in connection with the construction of the
fill, utilities or the paving we can offer no
determination regarding reasons for the present
condition.
5. By this letter we do not assume any liabilities for
the construction procedures or results thereof.
