I hadn't noticed that before. After the punch list has been generated is not the appropriate time to ask for a design change on your site. My advice is to conform to the approved design so the project can be finalized. Once the project is complete and accepted the owner may find he has to make minor modifications during his regular maintenance activities. Keith R. Marvin, P.E. On behalf of JDB, I would like to request that we not install that riprap. The reason is they want to be able to mow Lot 6. With the riprap in place, it makes it difficult to mow the small drainage channel. They are also concerned that the riprap could block water into the parking lot during rain and potentially for a period of time after the rain (if it ever decides to rain again).
