Enclosed are the results of the plan review(s) completed on the
referenced facility. Identified on the report are areas of
nonconformance with accessibility standards adopted by the Texas
Department of Licensing and Regulation for purposes of ensuring
compliance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 469.
Although deficiencies have been noted, the referenced project may be
eligible for inspection approval if constructed in accordance with
the Texas Accessibility Standards. Items which are the responsibility
of the owner should be referred to the appropriate person for action.
The building or facility owner must request an inspection from the
Department (or a Department authorized provider of inspection
services) no later then thirty (30) days after the completion of
construction. If the completion date provided on the Project
Registration Form is no longer correct, notify this office (in
writing) of the revised completion date, as soon as possible,

4.3.7 Slope
An accessible route with a running slope greater than 1:20 is a ramp
and shall comply with 4.8. Nowhere shall the cross slope of an
accessible route exceed 1 :50.

that cross over driveways also do not exceed the 20 per TAS

Changes in level up to 1/4 in (6 mm) may be vertical and without edge
treatment (see Fig. 7(c)). Changes in level between 1/4 in and 1/2 in
(6 mm and 13 mm) shall be beveled with a slope no greater than 1:2
(see Fig. 7(d)). Changes in level greater than 1/2 in (13 mm) shall
be accomplished by means of a ramp that complies with 4.7 or 4.8.

this section that may pertain to the matter at hand.

* *Note: Verify that texture used on the curb ramps fully comply.
Per TM 99 -15, The only curb ramp texture that TDLR is
currently aware of that meets the intent of this standard are
truncated domes per Sec. 4.29.2. Other textures such as
grooves 1/4" deep, 3/4" wide, 2" apart and arranged so that
water will not accumulate, may be acceptable provided that
the surface are detectable underfoot which will be verified
by the inspector.
