We had to provide superelvation through the curve on Sandy Lake in order to get close to the desired design speed. . We are in a cut situation next to the existing screening wall on the south side of Sandy Lake that requires a retaining wall. . In order to provide an adequate transition and appropriate sight distance from Coppell Road, we had to raise the grade several feet. These three items were the major design issues that led us to the current configuration of that intersection. I hope that this information will help you in your negotiations with this property. Again, if there is anything that we can be of assistance on, please feel free to contact us. -----Original Message-uu From: Suzan Taylor [mailto:staylor@ci.coppell.tx.us] Sent: Monday, October 04, 2004 12:03 PM To: Matt Atkins Subject: Fwd: Sandy Lake ST 99 02A Matt: I discussed this matter with Ken last Friday prior to him receiving this e-mail. It does appear that we will be creating a hole when we raise the elevation of Coppell Road and that this property will have permanent damage as a result. There is no access on to Sandy Lake Road from this parcel and access on to Coppell Road will be limited. I sent him the most recent set of construction plans that I have. Do you have any newer plans that I can send him - I am not sure that they will show anything different from before. Thanks >>> Ken Griffin 10/4/2004 11:49:58 AM >>> Suzan Please provide him the most current set of plans. Thanks keng >>> "Steve Brown" <sbrown@SowellCo.com> 10/4/2004 11 :46:03 AM >>> Ken i am in receipt of your letter and easement documents of September 29,2004 regarding the above referenced parcel. I requested and received a "draft" reference only set of plans for this project in August, however numerous notations were ~ade on those plans as to changes in the design. I would like a current set of construction drawings t~at effec.t o~r SIte. We are very concerned about the design creating a "hole" which will be our remainder. This pad SIte has sIgmficant value and we feel as though this value is being diminshed by the design. thanks sb file://C :\Documents%20and%20Settings\staylor\Local%20Settings\ Temp\GW} 0000 1.HTM 10/5/2004 -, --- Page 2 of2 The Information contained in this message is intended to be legally privileged and confidential for the use of the named recipient.
