Subject: 1635 & Beltline storm
Keith,
I left you a message yesterday cocerning a conflict with a proposed
storm and DWU 30" water at 635 & Beltline Road. Our proposed storm
alignment crosses the 30" water at a thrust block, and will push the
proposed storm well into the subgrade of the proposed pavement.
I have looked at a possible solution and have enclosed a sketch. We
would like to utilize the existing storm line that crosses the 30" line
at a different location. The proposed plans require a radius that will
take out the inlet on the east side of Beltline just north of the
service road.
We will remove the existing inlet, install the new inlet and extend the
existing pipe to the new inlet.
On the downstream end we will install a bend at the outfall location and
tie it into the line being constructed as part of the TxDOT project.
The flow lines of the existing pipe are 529.78 at the existing inlet and
528.63 at the outfall. Our tie in elevation to the storm system being
constructed would be 523.97 or lower, depending on where we tie in.
This gives the line plenty of slope.
Let me know if this would be an acceptable solution to the water line
conflict.
