Subject: Change Order Proposal 0010
Sandy Lake Lift Station Unit Heaters
Dear Mr. Ferrara:
We have reviewed the change order you provided to the City for the following work:
1. Remove the three (3) 240 volt unit heaters that have been installed.
2. Send two (2) of the 240 volt unit heaters to the heater manufacturer to be reconfigured to 480
volt units. Turn the other three (3) heaters over to the City.
Additional information is required before we can recommend acceptance of this change order. Please
provide documentation for the prices provided for freight and reconfiguration of the heaters by
Indeeco. This is more than what was indicated to TCB by the heater supplier (Bartos Industries).
Also, the change order includes $500 for subcontractor professional services. Please describe how
these services are required and provide substantiating documentation. Finally, the change order
includes $1,406 for 20 hours of labor plus the subcontractor effort to remove the three (3) heaters (not
including general condition materials or mark -ups for insurance, overhead and profit). This amount of
labor seems excessive for simply removing the heaters. Please provide some explanation for this
cost.
The requested information should be submitted to TCB. We will pass the information along to the City
after it has been reviewed. Please feel free to contact me at 972 - 735 -3056 if you have any questions
regarding this request.
Sincerely,
Erika K. Cooper, P.E.
Project Manager
