I am providing recommendations regarding the trees at the above site. There are 2 Post
Oaks that need to be removed. One is dead and the other will never survive the
construction.
There are a number of other issues that threaten the survival of the trees on site. Some of
the issues are for future projects and some can be addressed now.
1) The island design is not allowing enough room for the trees. The Post Oak is one of
the most sensitive species to changes in their environment. Subtle changes such as the
removal of underbrush can cause a Post Oak to begin to decline in health and vigor.
2) The trees that are to be preserved should have a deep root fertilization program
initiated. I have provided costs for this. .
3) Pruning should be done to lift canopies where necessan and deadwood removal.
4) The large Post Oak at the rear of the property should have as much room within the
canopy area left undisturbed to provide the best chance for survival.
5) I would avoid any extensive planting in islands with trees. One of the major concerns
with Post Oaks that sustain root damage is the irrigation following such damage. The
tree is very sensitive to regular irrigation frequency. I would recommend only ground
cover if anything in the islands. This will require the least amount of moisture. Be
very careful when the irrigation is installed to avoid further root loss. The fine feeder
roots on these trees are in the upper 4 -6 inches.

Responsibility for determining tree ow ne rship and obtaining consent from joint
owliers, if any, lies strictly with customer. Customer will indemnify and hotel
harmless Arborilogical Services, Inc. from and against any and all claims,
damages, liabilities, lawsuits. costs and expenses (including, without limgatlon,
attorneys fees and court costs), for wrongful tree removal or wrongful pruning.

The prices, specifications, and conditions of the vrork are satisfactory and
accept the proposal. I understand that my payment is to be made upon receipt 01
an invoice (unless otherwise noted) and payable to Arborilogical Services, !;)C,
#16 Steel Road, Wylie, Texas 75098. This company reserves the right to collect
interest cost (1- 112% per month over 30 days) and attorneys fees incurred in
collecting all payments due under this agreement.
The Venue for all disputes, controversies and litigation arising out of this
