Greg Jones, Sr. Building Inspector, went to Don Jones' property .J.l "-m,,"':j;:.d the height of
the retaining wall located in the creek. The height of the lower wall is approximately 5 1/2
feet and the second wall is approximately 4 1/2 feet. The distance between the faces of the
two walls is approximately 5 1/2 feet. The retaining wall ordinance requires a pennit to be
issued for any wall that is over 4 feet. No pennit has been issued for this wall.

The above rcferenced project was approved by the City Council on December 12, 1989 (see
attached City Council agenda and minutes). Wc recommend that the funds in the amount
of $17,473,90 be paid as the final payment on this project.

Returned are the following for subject project.
I. Transmittal Letter dated November 1, 1989 from Ginn, Inc. with
the Project close-out packet.
2. 6 copies of the Certificate of Completion wi th related memos
indicating that the City will wait to sign them when the City
Council approves the close-out.
3. Request to Cabe to finish out the review and response on the
easements for the projects. By phone I asked him to forward
those that were ready and not to hold them up because of the
other incomplete ones.
Both projects have been site inspected by Public Works personnel
and accepted.
There was no project file per se on either project.
