DR8902-CS 891101 GINN, INC. CONSULTING ENGINEERS November 1, 1989 Mr. Steve Goram City of Coppell P.O. Box 478 Coppell, TX 75019 Re: Bethel/Pelican Drainage Improvements Dear Mr. Goram: Work for the above referenced project has been completed in accordance with the Contract Documents and inspected by representatives of Ginn, Inc. and the City of Coppell Public Works Department. The original contract completion date was September 15, 1989. The project was completed and the work found to be acceptable as of October 20, 1989. Project completion was extended beyond the September 15, 1989 deadline for numerous reasons such as: rain delays, not receiving easement agreement for site #3 work (Widener property- Lot #15) for approximately three weeks, and request to construct Warren Court cul-de-sac as part of this project. Summary of calendar days acceptable for contract time extension is as follows: Rain days 5 days Easement Agreement delays 10 days Change Order No. 1 (Warren Court) 30 days Applying these days to the original contract completion date of September 15, 1989 provides for a new completion date of October 30, 1989. The final inspection and certificate of completion date of October 20, 1989 is well within the contract time. Therefore, we recommend accepting the project as complete as of October 20, 1989. Enclosed are three (3) copies of Application for Payment No. 4 (FINAL) in the amount of $17,473.90 from SYB Construction Co., Inc. representing work completed on the project through October 15, 1989, including request for previously held 10% retainage. We have reviewed the application and recommend that payment in full be made at this time. 17103 Preston Road · Suite 100 · LB 118 · Dallas, Texas 75248 · Phone 214/248-4900 Also enclosed are the project close-out submittals and other items of correspondence and project supporting documents for your information and use in making your decision to accept the project and make final payment.
