DR8802-CS 900920 (2) North Kaye Street Drainage Tmprov~ment Neighborhood Meeting Sept-_tuber 20, 1990 We appreciate your cooperation and you taking the time to attend this meeting. Staff has been working on this project for several months and with your help we have been able to bring forward the best solution for this drainage problem. As you know, the City of Coppell hired Kimley-Horn & Associates to study, and independently investigate this problem and tonight Mr. Ron Morrison will present his analysis, findings and the result of his study to you. Also, Albert H. Halff and Associates has been hired by the City to prepare a comprehensive City Wide Stop,L, Water Management Study Report. Albert Halff has included the Kimley-Horn's study of this particular drainage problem in their report, and as a result, has recommended the best alternative solution. Mr. Walter Skipwith is here tonight to provide detailed information on the recommended solution. Please note that on August 28, 1990, the City Council authorized Staff to pursue this solution with a condition that the necessary drainage easements be obtained. As you can see, we need to have your 100% participation in order for this project to work. The total estimated cost of this project is $102,000. Please note that Centex/Fox & Jacobs, after a number of meetings and discussions with Staff, has offered to provide $30,000 in cash contribution and $10,000 + for complete engineering services for funding this drainage improvement. The City of Coppell will provide $32,000 toward this improvement, which brings the total to $72,000, excluding costs such as replacement and removal of sheds, trees, grading, resodding, etc. Your participation in removing and replacing such items is needed. We believe that with your help this drainage improvement can be implemented in 3-4 months, weather allowing, enhancing your properties and improving the conditions more than ever before. We will be happy to answer any questions and we ask that you provide your name and address and then state your comments in an orderly form so that we can respond.
