Halff Associates arrived on site at approximately 8:00 am on September 21 for
construction observation. The irrigation system and the landscaping near the monument
sign at the intersection of Freeport Parkway and Dividend Drive have not yet been
repaired. I spoke with Garreth Campbell about the sanitary sewer problem under Freeport
Parkway. It was decided that the City of Coppell Engineering Department needed to be
notified about the situation. I spoke with Kent Collins and made him aware of the
sanitary sewer problem. However, Garreth and I still need a copy of the original video
inspection from North Texas Contracting that has already been performed. The concrete
has been poured for the bottom and sides of all four curb inlets, the "y" inlet, and the first
storm manhole. The area for the footing on the second storm manhole was being
prepared/excavated. The contractor is going to leave the top of this second manhole
approximately 21" lower until the paving is done. Then the manhole will be raised to
grade using grade rings. The contractor will be doing the tops of manholes and inlets
tomorrow. The contractor was excavating a trench and laying PVC conduit for future
irrigation and electrical lines. They were backfilling with native material and compacting
it with a roller.
