Halff Associates arrived on site at approximately 3:30 pm on August 20 for construction
observation. The irrigation system and the landscaping near the monument sign at the
intersection of Freeport Parkway and Dividend Drive have not yet been repaired.
Sanitary sewer has been completely installed. The crew was installing the storm sewer
system. The entire trunk main has been installed. One concrete collar was being
constructed and one collar needs to be constructed at the 48" to 36" pipe size change.
Crushed rock was being used for the embedment and select backfill was being used
before the native material was being backfilled. The sheep's foot roller was performing
compaction in lifts of the native backfill. The contractor will begin installing the storm
sewer laterals and manholes on Monday, August 23, 1999. Erosion control methods
(plywood) were being used to block exposed RCPs at the end of the work day.
