Halff Associates arrived on site at approximately 10:30 am on August 17 to discuss construction and
inspection issues. The meeting began approximately at 10:30 am and concluded at approximately 11:00
am. During this time discussions about construction and inspection issues were held; however, not all
attendees were present for all discussions.

II. Issues Discussed
Item Action Description
2.1 info The contractor is installing the 54" storm sewer from the first manhole to the
east. Rock embedment was being installed as well as select backfill. The
contractor could not make the radius work from the connection point to the first
manhole, so he is going to break a joint and pour a concrete collar to connect the
joints.
2.2 Contractor
The contractor was instructed to haul off the existing "y" inlet that was removed.
2.3 Contractor
Erosion control is necessary where the "y" inlet has been removed. The lateral is
open and exposed and erosion control measures should be immediately installed.
2.4 Contractor
The sanitary manhole at STA. 1 +14 has been completely constructed but has
stagnate water in the bottom of it. The contractor thinks there is a high point
somewhere under Freeport Parkway. He is going to video tape the line within
the next week to determine where the problem is.
2.5 Halff
Halff will consult with Catellus to decide whether 3 existing trees in the median
of Freeport Parkway which will be affected by construction will be salvaged.

Water pipe, valves, hydrants, and fittings have arrived on site.
