Summary of Additional Data Required to Support a
Letter of Map Revision
Case No.: 06-06-BE95P
Communities: Cities of Coppell, Dallas,
and Irving, TX
Requester: Mr. Walter E. Skipwith, P.E.
Community Nos.: 480170, 480171, and 480180
The issues listed below must be addressed before we can continue the review of your request.
1. Please submit a certified topographic work map of the area of revision covered by the post-project
conditions model that also includes the following:
a. The revised conditions and effective floodplain and floodway boundary delineations and their
tie-ins at the downstream and upstream limits of the area of revision for both sides of Grapevine
Creek;
b. Legible contour information, at a readable scale, to support these boundary delineations; and
c. The locations and alignments of all cross sections modeled in the HEC-2 hydraulic analysis within
the area of revision (our review revealed that Cross Sections 11045, 11070, 11275, 11276, 11296,
11297 and 11299 are missing from the submitted topographic work map).
2. Our review of the post-project conditions HEC-2 floodway model revealed that the floodway
encroachment stations are outside the floodplain for the flood having a 1-percent chance of being
equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) at Cross Sections 10935, 11045, 11070, 11301,
14820, 15600, 15610 and 15730. Please review and revise the locations of the bank stations and
encroachment stations, so that the encroachment stations are inside the floodplain in the HEC-2
hydraulic model.
Please send the required data directly to us at the address shown at the bottom of this page. For
identification purposes, please include the case number referenced above on all correspondence.
