Please be advised that the above captioned proj ect has been issued an Environmental Clearance
(Categorical Exclusion). The design schematic was approved on November 10,2005 and the Categorical
Exclusion (CE) was approved on September 29, 2006. Therefore, we may now proceed to the next stage
of project development.
Enclosed, please find a copy of the CE approval, Categorical Exclusion document and Schematic. As you
are aware, the Categorical Exclusion (CE) covers many topics and provides useful information. We
would like to bring to your attention one of these topics that may help your city's future land use planning.
The Noise Impacts page 29-32, Table 9 and Figure 4 Appendix A of the CE summarize future noise
impact contours for commerciallIndustrialland uses. Please share this information to other city officials
to ensure that future developments are planned, designed, and programmed in a manner that will avoid
traffic noise impacts. On the date the CE was approved, September 29,2006 (Date of Public Knowledge),
the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A) and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) are no
longer responsible for providing noise abatement for new development adjacent to the project.
