SUBJECT: Citizen's Petition
RE: Kaye Street Drainage Problems and Repaving of Street
On June 7, 1990 a petition was filed with the City Secretary's
Office concerning the above referenced item. A copy of that
petition is attached for your files.
Please review the request as stated on the first two pages of the
petition and advise the City Mana~e~ as to a recommended course of
action on the repaving request and/or status report on the drainage
project. Include the time frame and anticipated date that these
items will appear on the city Council agenda. Additionally, since
this item is listed under anticipated or pending litigation in the
Executive Session of City Council agendas, please provide the City
o etary's Office with a coDY of all information which will b~
arded to the City Attorney. '
Ms. Lola Jonas of 321 West Kaye Street submitted the petition and
is the contact person for this group of citizens. Please contact
her and keep her informed as to when this item will be appearing

PETITION TO THE
CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS
We the residents of the north side of Kaye Street have
als0 affixed our na~es to the afore mentioned statement and
would also like to see the drainage problems on both sides
of our street repaired so we might enjoy the full use of our
properties.
We the residence would also like for the City of Coppell
to address the issue of repaving our street. Our street has
to be repaired after each rain. The pot holes are large enough
to damage the front end of cars and bend the wheels.
PETITION TO THE
CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS
We the undersigned property owners and residence of Dallas
County and the City of Coppell, do register our opposition
to the problems of drainage that has occured to our property
as a result of changes in the drainage patterns resulting
~r~m the development to the south of our properties on the
south side of Maye Street. This was done without our consent
and modifies a drainage pattern that has existed for (35)
thirty five years.
As a result of this change, water now stands in our rear
yards for long periods of time after it rains. Thisprevents
us fron enjoying the use of our land.
We hereby request that the City of Coppell take action to cause
prompt correction of this problem so we can enjoy adequate
dr~nge on our properities.
