Construction Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. Evans:
The plans as submitted are generally in conformance with City of Coppell standards, with the
exception of the following comments:
Sheet C3.1 -
1. The proposed 12" sanitary sewer crosses the proposed 6'x4' box culvert. That box culvert
should be shown in the profile view.
Sheet C5.1 -
2. To calculate your channel capacity for Section BB and Section AA, you are using an 'n'
factor of 0.013. This 'n' factor would only be valid if the channel were concrete lined all the
way up to the flow line of the water. You should be using a composite 'n' value based on the
portion that is concrete lined verses the portion that is not concrete lined. Using a composite
value, I am not sure that Section BB will be adequate to convey the water. Please reevaluate.
Sheet C5.8 -
3. There is an existing inlet on Belt Line Road that appears to conflict with your proposed drive
approach. The inlet will need to be relocated prior to construction of that drive approach.
Once these comments have been addressed, you should submit the necessary number of plans for
your contractor, plus the City's four copies to be stamped and signed by the City Engineer prior
to construction beginning. If you have any questions or need additional information, please
