Box 9478 Coppell, TX 75019 Dear Mr. Campbell: I live on the southwest corner of Castlebury Court and Sandy Lake Road. As you are probably aware, the streetlight that was also on this corner was recently removed as it was blocking access to the wheelchair accommodation area. I suspect that the light was not replaced because of the pending installation of the lighting in the median of Sandy Lake Road . This lighting is now operative and is ineffective in providing sufficient illumination to the area where the streetlight was removed. I perceive that this is the case for two reasons. First, the lighting in the Sandy Lake Road median is aimed downward, and second, there is no lighting pole directly adjacent to the Castlebury Court intersection. The original streetlight's removal seems to be creating a hazard for pedestrians crossing at night even now, and the Castlebury Court -Sandy Lake Road intersection is dimly lit making it, and the signage, hard to see it for drivers unfamiliar with the area. Accordingly, it is requested that the original streetlight be replaced and located in a manner that will not interfere with the wheelchair access ramp. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
