Dear Ray:
Walk - throughs of the above referenced projects were completed today with Per Birdsall,
myself and personnel from Mario Sinacola & Sons. My understanding from talking with Per is that
all items have been addressed on all projects with three exceptions. The items remaining to be
resolved are the following:
1) Paver detail at sidewalk ramps - a felt expansion material was placed at the location where
the pavestone butts up against the sidewalk at several of the handicap ramps on Stonemeade
Estates and Parks of Coppell. An engineer from Pavestone is reviewing the as- constructed
detail and will provide us his response within one week. If he takes exception to the detail,
Centex will repair each of the affected areas within two weeks of his response. If the
engineer and the City deem the detail acceptable, Centex will repair the two areas of
pavestone on Parks of Coppell as requested by Per within two weeks. Either way, we will
stand behind the work and take the necessary corrective action if needed.
2) Leaking Storm Sewer at Stonemeade Estates - We are aware that the western outfall has
been leaking at some of the joints in the pipe. We will be beginning relocation of the trunk
sanitary sewer in this area within one week which will require removal and replacement of
this section of storm sewer. As we have discussed with Garreth Campbell, the storm sewer
will be repaired at that time as the heavy equipment will be available to excavate the pipe.
3) Pavement repair at Huntington Ridge - The cutting of the grooves in the pavement of
Huntington Ridge will begin by Monday (9/13).
If the resolution of the items as listed above is acceptable, we request that the projects be released
for City acceptance. All other items required (including maintenance bonds, etc.) have been
received by the City. If I may answer any further questions, please call.
