wetland preservation, streambank erosion, and recreaiion opportunities_ Immediately south of
Denton Creek are existing city recreation facilities. Acquisition of pedesttian/bicy¢le ~ccess cast
to the proposed Dalhowa Trail along the Elm Nork of the Trbli~ River. Safe access across
thc creek is needed at three loc~iions to allow residents on the north side o£the creek to utilize
the exis~g and proposed city recreation facilities.
For ~he tmrpose of this study, projects within Coppell will bc located within an area
starting west of Denton Tap Road, proceeding c~tward along the north side of Denton Creek for
approximately 3 miles. This linear area would have an approximate wi dth of 200 feet throt~gh
majority oft.he study ar~a. Downmeam ora chann~ed (permitted) reach of the creek, the study
area would investigate streambank erosion, in addition to cnvironm~tal restoration, on each side
of the natural creek cb~nel. The study area is shown on the attached map.
