I hove review the retaining wall submittal from Tiseo Paving Company and I have the following
comments:
] . The type of block appears to be in general conformance to the plans and specifications.
2. The max wall height is 3 feet instead of 2 feet as indicated by the handwritten text on the
second page of the submittal.
3. The notes for the max wall height without reinforcement indicate that they assume a level
backfill. With our wall section. the backfill will be placed on a slope up to the existing
screening wall. nlis does not meet the assumptions for the product and the wall design
should be checked for global stability as well as local stability,
4. The information submitted indicates the use of a granular base leveling pad. Per the
specifications. this project requires the use of 0 concrete footing.
5. Finally, I do not see any information on the attachment of the capstone to the walls.
Throughout the design process and product selection, It was determined that the capstone
needed to be fixed to the wall so that it could not be easily removed,
