Garry From: Ken Griffin [mailto:kgriffin@ci.coppell.tx.us] Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2007 3:46 PM To: DL-Garry Kraus Cc: Paula Crocker Subject: Re: Bethel Road Garry You are correct that the contract does not state that you are to provide copies to the contractor. However, the contract did state that 20 full size and 4 half size sets of plans would be provided to the City for distribution to the contractors for bidding purposes. When the project went to bid, it was decided that TranSystems would sale the plans from their office for a cost of $250 per set. I'm sure some sets were still provided to the City, but I don't believe that we were provided 20 full size and 4 half size sets. I thought that TranSystems would provide the plans to the contractor because they did not have to provide them free of charge to the City for bidding purposes. It looks like we finally settled on 11 full size and 8 half size for the contractor. Let me know what your thoughts are on just substituting the 11 full size and 8 half size sets of plans recently provided in lieu of the 20 full size and 4 half size sets of plans that were noted in the contract for bidding purposes. Thanks Ken Griffin »> <gdkraus@transystems.com> 2/6/2007 2:57 PM »> Ken, In reviewing the contract it does not appear that providing copies of plan sets for the contractor after award was included. Would the City consider picking up the cost of the reproduction? Thanks. Garry D. Kraus, P.E.
