I called at the engineering department today and talked to Doug Stevens.
As I
explained
to Mr. Stevens Several years ago when Ginn
& Associates
were
doing the
city engineering, I complained
that the garbage trucks
were
causing ruts in my property as shown in
the attached
sketch. The city
filled
the ruts
with sand. This worked until
recently when
the construction
on
Shadowcrest reduced the available turning
radius at the
corner and
again
extensive
ruts have formed on the corner.
The North side of Shadowcrest is a no parking area. The turning radius is
therefore reduced by parked cars on the South side..
I suggested to Mr. Stevens that now is the perfect time to perform a
permanent repair to this problem. This has two benefits it removes a
dangerous eyesore from my property and reduces the wear and tears on
the garbage and recycling trucks.
I would appreciate it if you would give the available options your
consideration.
