Dear Garreth:
I received the following answers from Martin Ledford in a phone conversation on August
4 at 4:45 P.M.:
RFI No. 1, question #1 - The vertical column steel is per Sheet S8, 8 - #10 bars.
RFI No. 1, question #2 - Extend the vertical pier steel into the abutment cap until 6" from
the top of the cap.
RFI No. 3, question #2a - The bearing seats for the bent caps are 1" thick. U�
Martin did not have the answer to RFI No. 3, question 2b yet. He said he would have it
on August 5 in the morning.
