There are several items on Sheet S6 of 9 in the contract drawings that need to be addressed.
�. Note #5 - Prestressed concrete beams cannot be rubbed. The concrete strength at release will be too
hard to hand rub. Formed finish will be furnished.
�. Note #5 - Prestressed concrete beams do not need to be air entrained. We will furnish non - entrained
concrete for the concrete beams.
3. The concrete strength that is shown for the 80 ft. beams appear to be too low. Please verify.
4. What type of strand is re uired - 1/2 inch stressed relieved strand @ 28.9 kips 1/2 inch low -
axed strand 31.0 kip .
5. The reinforcing steel for the beam is an old TxDot standard that is no longer in use. We are
proposing to use the new standard. See attached.
Please respond to these questions as soon as possible so that shop drawings can be starred.
