Dear Mr. Campbell, *
Per Our conversation last week I am sending you this information to assist you in writing
the letter I need for the Coppell Iistrict Attorney regarding my case in traffic court.
The Coppell Municipal Court has a new District Attorney and she is not familiar with the
city and the road system here. I submitted to her during my pre -trial hearing the copy of
your work diary from the day that I received my ticket showing that the construction
workers at the new bridge on Denton Tapp between Parkway and Natches Traces were
pouring concrete for the trail that runs under the bridge and were not visible to drivers
that were going over the bridge
The District Attorney said she would be able to dismiss my case if you would write a
letter confirming my statement that when the workers are below where the trail is, they
cannot be seen by oncoming traffic.
If you need any other information or have any questions please feel free to contact me at
the number listed above or my cell phone 214 -454 -8076. Thank you very much for your
help in this matter. Your letter will save me a $450 fine that truly shouldn't be granted.
Sincerely,
Darleen Gegich

Re: Denton Tap Road project # ST 94 -01
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Garreth D. Campbell, Sr. and I have been employed by the City of Coppell as a
Construction Inspector in the Engineering Department since June of 1992.
I am the City of Coppell's representative on the Denton Tap Road paving project and was present
on that project on October 11, 1999.
My records indicate that on October 11, 1999, the construction activities on that day were limited
to work on the trail system that connects the sidewalk along Denton Tap Road to the park system.
This trail goes underneath the bridge and it is conceivable that the workers were not visible to the
motorist traveling north and south along Denton Tap Road. I have checked with REBCON, Inc.
the contractor on the project, and their records agree with mine.
Thank you,
arr . Campbel , Sr.
