,a We would like to suggest an alternative to the proposed 8" ductile iron water line
to be installed under the box culverts at station 20*54. We propose to install a

12" steel casing or carrier pipe so that when the line is laid up to either s
~ box culvert in a future phase the contractor can lay all new line and test it in it's
• entirety. This also would allow for replacement of the line in ,the distant future
~
~ without disturbance to the box culvert should the water line develop a problem.

We can make this change at no additional cast or time added to the contract.
