To Whom It May Concern:
The City of Coppell has received several complaints about excessive runoff from your
property due to your irrigation system. I have observed your property several times over
the last few weeks. My observations showed that you appear to be watering more
frequently than necessary. I have also noticed that your sprinkler nearest the fire hydrant
at the northeast corner of your property is situated such that it is spraying water into the
street instead of your property. Please review your irrigation methods and the frequency
of your irrigation and make appropriate changes.
As you are probably aware, the North Texas area has been experiencing drought
conditions. Most of the area lake levels are down and many of the cities in the metroplex
are in various stages of their Drought Contingency Plans. The City of Coppell is currently
in Stage 1 of our plan. Stage 1 encourages water conservation but does not place any
restrictions on our customers. The elimination of excessive runoff is one of the elements
of water conservation that Stage 1 encourages.
By all of us doing our part for water conservation, we can ensure that we will have
adequate water supply to meet our future needs. For more information on water
conservation, you can go to the City's website at wtivl-v.ci.coppell.t.~.us and follow the
links.
If you have any questions regarding this issue, please contact me at 972-304-3686 or
