Re: Kaye Street/Spanish Moss
Drainage Problems
Dear Mr. Jackson:
In response to your July 17, 1989 letter regarding drainage
problems between Kaye Street and Spanish Moss, we maintain the
position that the investigations, surveys, and work completed
last year resolved the problems, at that time, as we stated in
our correspondence.
In our opinion, the work required by our firm, has been
discharged fully and completely. We would like to point out,
again, that we had no jurisdiction on some items such as: off-
site drainage improvements (or lack thereof) of Kaye Street
residents, monitoring home construction activity on Spanish Moss
lots, review of individual lot grading plans, and review/approval
of individual homeowner fence locations, all of which still
appear to be contributory to the problem.
Since there was no "previous contract or Consultant Work Order
Authorization", we feel that should the city request us to review
the civil plans of the subdivision in question, and provide
corrections to the problems, we will require a current Consultant
Work Order Authorization.
rditionally, we recently spent on research,
feel
that
the
time
viewing the files to determine our responsibility, a field
investigation and correspondence is not a part of the work
completed last year and will be billed at our current hourly
rate.
Should you require additional information, or have any questions,
please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
H. Wayne Ginn, P.E.
