A preconstruction meeting was held on Thursday, August 13, 1987,
and the following items were mentioned or discussed.
1. Owner is City of Coppell. Engineer is Ginn, Inc., whose
duty is to administer project, make observations and
inspections, review and process shop drawings and pay
applications.
2. Contact person for Ginn, Inc. shall be GaLe Favre, in
office, and Ronnie Bates in the field.
3. Notice to proceed on or before August 17, 1987...90 calendar
day project...completion date November 15, 1987.
4. All communications should be with Ginn, Inc.
5. Change orders...no verbal.
6. Contractor provide: sequence of construction and schedule.
7. Contact made with utility companies.
8. Pipe storage.
9. Compliance with all codes, manual o~ uniform traffic
control, and safety practices.
10. Shop drawings on pipe, hydrants, valves, etc. prior to any
construction. ,
11. Excavate and backfill same day. No open trench overnight.
12. Stockpile sand at service center.
13. Thrust blocks...2500 psi concrete.

14. Testing.
15. Alley pavement...questioned unit price bid.
16. Work hour restrictions.
17. Barricades, signs, flagmen.
18. PVC pipe...DR 14.
19. Valves...resilient wedge
20. Hydrants...Waterous
21. Minimum cover over pipe...will allow 3'-6' in lieu of 5'0"
shown.
22. Backfill...compaction.
23. Sensitive with residents.
24. Contact homeowner...meter box location.
25. Fence along north side.
26. Pay applications.

having been mentioned or discussed, but understood not to be a
modification of any existing contracts or agreements.

NOTICE OF AWARD
Gentlemen:
The City of Coppell has considered the bid submitted by you for
the above referenced project in response to its invitation to bid
dated May 28, 1987.
You are hereby notified that your bid has been accepted for the
construction of the base bid only in the total amount of
$58,000.00.
Enclosed are six (6) copies of the Form of Agreement, Performance
Bond and Payment Bond. Please complete and execute these
documents and return to our office.
You are required, under the terms of the Instructions to Bidders,
to execute the agreement and furnish the required bonds and
certificates of insurance within fifteen (15) calendar days from
the date of this notice of award.
Upon return receipt of these documents, we will have ~ the
agreement executed by the City of Coppell, conduct a
preconstruction conference, and issue a "notice to proceed"
order. You are required to return an acknowledged copy of this
"Notice of Award" to the owner. Please sign below and return two
(2) copies to us.
We are looking forward to working with your firm toward the
successful completion of this project.
