Steve, as per your request for a follow up memo on our conversation,
Buckelew Construction started work on 11/14/88. At 8:30 a.m. I
conducted a detour verification for proper signage and spacing in
accordance with approved plans and at 10:30 a.m., Freeport was closed
to thru traffic.
They issued a letter of notification to Minyard and Texas Stock Tab
that their water would be turned off this coming weekend. This will
not happen and the line lowering will tentatively take place Dec.
2-4.
The reason i would not allow the l~owering to take place is 1) They
are required to give Minyards and Texas Stock Tab a seven (7) day
notice, not five (5) 2.) The process that will have to take place
will take more than 5 days also 3) Shop drawings have not been
approved by Clyde. Minyard 'and Texas. Stock Tab have be.en notified
of the disregard letter. ·
This week they will make a 10" tap on Bethel and Miny~rd vault,
pavement removal,~ tap on C.C.P. in Freeport, preferred storm drainage
removal. Russell has.stamped their trench safety plans.
