SLOTTED DRAIN SPECIFICATION
he corrugated steel pipe used in the slotted drain shall meet the
q irements of AASHTO M36 /ASTM A760 or ASTM A762. The
inimum thickness of the pipe is 18 gauge. The, CSP shall be
'salvanized.
• rhe grates shall be manufactured from ASTM A570, tirade 36 steel. The
pacers shall be 3/16" x 1 9 /4 " strap material and side plates shall be 3/16"
6' plate.
• jrhe spacer plates shall be on 6" centers and welded on both sides to each
Baring plate (side plates) with four 1 '/4" long 3/16" fillet welds on each
ide of the bearing plate.
• e grate shall be galvanized in accordance with ASTM Al23 except
ith a 2oz galvanized coating.
• he grate shall be fillet welded a minimum of I" long to the CSP on each
ide of the grate at every other corrugation.

t iock seam shall not be cut and the grate shall be notched to
mmodate the lock seam
