Infrastructure Improvement Changes
Dear Mr. Evans:
I have looked at the additional changes that you have recently submitted on the referenced
project and have a concern with the changes proposed for Sheet 5.10. In looking at our approved
plans, I believe this should be Sheet 5.1, which contains the proposed Open Drainage Channel.
It appears that you are now proposing to eliminate the Open Drainage Channel and provide an 8'
x 4' box culvert. Please revise Sheet 5.10 to be Sheet 5.1 and also orient the North arrow to the
top of the page so that this sheet will be consistent with the rest of the plans in the original set.
Once these changes have been made, please submit revised copies for the City Engineer's
approval. The City of Coppell requires three sets of final construction plans for its use. You
should also submit as many additional sets for approval as is necessary for construction
operations. All contractors and subcontractors onsite must have a copy of the plans approved by
the City of Coppell.
All fees must be paid prior to release of this project for construction. The City charges a 2%
inspection fee for all private construction outside the building's footprint. This includes dirt
work, paving, storm drains, water lines, sewer lines, drainage pipes, etc. that are private. For all
improvements in the public right-of-way or easements, the City charges a 4% fee.
A check for inspection fees made to the City of Coppell should be submitted to this office along
with the Construction Development Permit Application and a copy of the Construction Site
Notice. For your convenience a spreadsheet is attached to the permit application for use in
calculating the inspection fees. A copy of the contract(s) should be attached for verification
purposes.
