DR8801-CS 881201December 1, 1988 Memorandum To: Russell Doyle, City Engineer From: Frank Trando, Deputy City Manager/Finance Director ~/ Subject: Professional Services-Bethel Road Drainage Improvements The contract with Minyard's sets the estimated cost of this project at $550,000, which is made up of the following: Design cost Construction costs Administatrative costs Testing costs $ 51,000 $474,000 $ 20,000 $ 5,000 The actual cost for the design was $51,045. A contract was awarded to Buckelew Construction Co. in the amount of $473,929.53. The administrative costs were estmated by Clyde Sifford to run approximately $12,000-$15,000. Therefore, if Mr. Sifford's estimate is accurate we will have a savings of $5,000 plus the $5,000 budgeted for testing should cover the testing expense. In any case, we will have to monitor the expenditures and if there is an overrun the additional funds will have to be covered out of the City's surplus funds in the Street CIP.
