Re: Old Coppell Townhomes Drainage Problems
Dear Mr. Robertson,
This letter is a follow-up to the letter dated March 29, 2007 that was sent to you regarding
the grading issue on the east side of the Old Coppell Townhomes. The City of Coppell
has received multiple complaints regarding runoff from this property onto the adjacent
property. According to the drainage plans, the runoff should travel south to the private
storm drain system; however, this is not the case. The runoff is actually traveling east
onto adjacent properties. This area was apparently graded incorrectly during the course
of construction. The area in question is the storm drain between 526 and 530 Mobley
Way as shown on the attachment provided.
We respectfully request that the area be re-graded correctly to ensure proper drainage and
in order to prevent further damage to properties adjacent to the east side of your
development. An alternate solution, if proposed, could be accommodated with approval
by the City Engineer. A solution must be sought within a reasonable time now that you
have been notified of the incorrect drainage pattern created during construction of Old
Coppell Townhomes. Thank you in advance for your prompt action in this matter.
Sincerely,
Michael Garza, E.I.T.
