Bethel Road Update Request
Ken,
As you may remember, we own the Tradepoint development (Mohawk Building) on
Bethel Road. We've been working with Suzan Taylor, and I think we've given
you all of the R.O.W. and easements you required. I've been asked about the
Bethel Road improvements schedule.
I found this on your website today:
ST 99-05 BETHEL ROAD I (West City Limits to Freeport Parkway)
A design contract for Bethel Road was awarded to TranSystems Corporation on
February 13, 2001. The project consists of the widening of the existing
2-lane asphalt road to a 4-lane divided roadway. The project also includes
a detailed drainage study to determine how to accommodate the future
drainage associated with the large undeveloped property at the southwest
corner of Royal Lane and Bethel Road, and design of the required drainage
improvements. The project is in the design phase and construction plans are
80o~ complete. Coppell is currently acquiring the necessary right-of-way.
Construction of the improvements is anticipated to start in the 2nd Quarter
of 2005.
