Lane Closure at Dividend Drive
Dear Mr. Byrne:
You have recently created an open cut in the pavement of the right southbound lane of Belt Line
Road at the proposed Dividend Drive intersection. This cut was to facilitate the connection of the
proposed RCP to the existing RCP in Belt Line Road.
Due to inclement weather, it appears that failure may have occurred outside your traffic plates that
are placed in the existing roadway. The failure appears to have compromised the right lane and we
are concerned about it crossing into the middle lane of that portion of the roadway.
As a result, we are asking you to close the lane adjacent to the curb and closely monitor the center
lane overnight tonight. By tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m., be prepared to meet me, with your
trench safety engineer present, to discuss options for a permanent repair.
